Conservatives returned to power in Canada
Mexico News.Net Wednesday 15th October, 2008
The Conservative Party of Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has won the Canadian elections.
Harper had called Tuesday's elections early in hopes of getting his party a majority.
Instead, he and his party will again be obliged to rely on opposition support to pass budgets and legislation.
Nevertheless, the election was won for the Conservatives with an increased number of seats.
With his win in the election, Mr Harper has become the first major world leader to face voters since the financial crisis.
Voter turnout was about 59 percent, the lowest in Canadian history.

Conservatives returned to power in Canada
That’s good, the Conservatives will give more stable politics in Canada; however we American people are expecting JOHN McCAIN-SARAH PALIN such moderate Republican & Conservative low-tax small government to 2009 White House too. That’ll make Canada and U.S.A. a compatible “pair”.
